Founded by friends Hugo and Josh, Caluís was born from a shared vision: to make high-end jewellery more accessible, without compromising on quality or meaning.
Co-founder Hugo Johnson is a classically trained goldsmith and winner of BBC Two’s All That Glitters: Britain’s Next Jewellery Star (Season 1). His award-winning craftsmanship, paired with Josh’s sharp eye for design and detail, is at the heart of every Caluís piece.
With over a decade of experience creating bespoke jewellery, we blend traditional goldsmithing with a love for fashion, form, and personal storytelling.

We’re proud to work with materials that reflect our values, using lab-grown diamonds and natural birthstones to craft jewellery that is modern, ethical, and deeply personal. Our clean-cut aesthetic is designed to be worn, layered, loved and lived in.
Our lab-grown diamonds are physically and chemically identical to mined stones, delivering the same brilliance, minus the environmental impact or inflated price tag. Quite simply, they’re better. For us, choosing them wasn’t a trend, it was the only choice that made sense.
